Julian Lombardi (b. 1996 Philadelphia, USA) is an Italian-American artist. Lombardi creates both physical and digital works that explore the depths of the subconscious mind and its relationship with the complicated present.

Lombardi’s vibrant and dynamic pieces reflect a deep understanding of the alchemy of painting and the ancient practices that happen when working with physical materials. His work ranges from large-scale oil paintings to mixed media lightscapes and sculptures that challenge and inspire viewers to explore the deeper meaning behind his works.

“My works seek to provoke contemplation on complex aspects of the human experience, from sensations of desire and confusion to the ever-present challenges of misinformation, conspiracy, and mental illness.

Through a carefully constructed visual language, I aim to contribute to a dialogue that navigates the nuanced landscapes of contemporary life, all while exploring the intricate recesses of the unconscious mind.

In my artistic exploration, I venture into the depths of the human unconscious, crafting works that blend the principles of ancient alchemy with contemporary techniques. These transformative visual experiences, characterized by vibrancy and dynamism, span a diverse range of mediums, including paintings, mixed media lightscapes, collage works, drawings, and sculptures.

Embedded within my work is a connection to art history, where multidisciplinary engagement serves to contextualize research, compelling audiences to uncover concealed meanings within each piece. At the heart of my artistic endeavor lies a dedication to exploring the intricacies of the human psyche, employing hidden imagery as a cornerstone for narrative exploration.

Techniques such as layering and texture building construct a visually rich language that resonates on multiple cognitive levels, inviting viewers to embark on a journey of self-discovery. This exploration extends beyond the tangible into the realms of spirituality and the natural world, fostering contemplation as observers engage with the intricate tapestry of the unconscious.”
